Maleeh Molstad
As a child, Maleeh remembers having the ability to feel and understand things more than most kids her age. She would later realize that this sensitivity was the key that unlocked her potential for the poetry she continues to enjoy writing.
Born in Flint, Michigan in 1972, Maleeh attended Civic Park Elementary for grades K- 4. It was in 4th grade that Maleeh won 1st place for a writing contest that was given by her school. Her story titled ME AND MY SHADOW was published in the 3 R’s Magazine. She was also invited to read her story live on air at WFBE FM 95. It was in those moments that Maleeh began to develop a passion for writing.
Maleeh’s first published poetry book SUN KISSED MOON is inspired by her love of rhyming and using words to create imagery. She enjoyed writing this book as a way to connect the adult to the inner child within.
INTO THE GOLDEN HOUR is Maleeh’s second published poetry book. Inspired by the human spirit and its resilience. She hopes to inspire and remind us of how important it is that we never lose our sense of curiosity and wonder, and to continue to use our imagination throughout life. She enjoyed collaborating on this book with her daughter, Lilah King, who is the illustrator.
Maleeh is currently writing her next poetry book, and has recently become a certified life coach. She loves spending time with her daughters and continues to become inspired by the beauty of nature and life.
